The aim of the Foundation is to promote and support independent journalists and independent journalism in Russia, as well as in other regions where freedom of speech is under threat. In order to achieve our stated goal, the Foundation will be active, among other things, in:
- supporting media in exile
- supporting journalists under threat because of their work in various countries
- developing technological solutions for media outlets to continue working in countries where censorship is prevalent
- organizing journalistic partnerships
- supporting investigators and developing collaborative journalism, including across borders
- arranging conferences for journalists, including investigative journalism
- developing new journalistic formats, including multimedia formats (videos, podcasts)
- supporting journalistic projects across various platforms and assisting in content distribution (especially in countries where censorship is prevalent and freedom of speech is restricted)
- fundraising for media in exile
